How to Customize Exhibitor Dashboard Cards in ExpoGenie

Objective

This SOP explains how to hide or show specific cards on the exhibitor dashboard so exhibitors only see the information relevant to them. Use this process to remove unnecessary cards, such as Open Balance, when they are not applicable to your event.

Key Steps

1. Review the exhibitor dashboard cards 0:00

  • Log in as an exhibitor to view the dashboard layout.

  • Identify the cards currently displayed, such as:

    • Tasks

    • Balances

    • Booth information

    • Booth number

  • Confirm which cards are relevant for your event before making changes.

2. Open Event Setup from the Admin panel 0:19

  • From the Admin panel, locate Event Setup in the lower-left corner.

  • Click Event Setup to access event-level configuration options.

  • Use this area to manage exhibitor dashboard display settings.

3. Access Advanced Settings 0:33

  • In Event Setup, click Advanced Settings.

  • Scroll down to the section where exhibitor dashboard cards can be controlled.

  • Review the available card toggles before making any changes.

4. Disable unnecessary dashboard cards 0:44

  • Find the card you want to remove from exhibitor view.

  • Toggle the card off; for example, turn off Open Balance if exhibitors are not purchasing products through ExpoGenie.

  • Repeat for any other cards that should not appear on the dashboard.

  • Click Save to apply the changes.

5. Verify the exhibitor dashboard update 0:57

  • Return to the exhibitor side of the platform.

  • Confirm the disabled card no longer appears on the dashboard.

  • Check that the remaining cards still display correctly and provide the intended information.

Cautionary Notes

  • Only hide cards that are truly not needed for the event; removing useful information may confuse exhibitors.

  • Always click Save after making changes, or the updates will not take effect.

  • Verify the exhibitor view after saving to ensure the dashboard reflects the intended configuration.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Decide in advance which cards should be visible to avoid repeated edits.

  • If multiple events use similar settings, document the preferred card configuration for future setup.

  • Use a quick exhibitor-side check after each change to confirm the dashboard is correct before moving on.
