Embed ExpoGenie Floor Plan on a Website
Objective
This SOP explains how to embed an ExpoGenie floor plan into a website using the iFrame embed code. Following these steps will allow a team member to place the floor plan on a webpage and publish it live.
Key Steps
1. Open the ExpoGenie Floor Plan Editor 0:00
In ExpoGenie, go to the left menu.
Click Edit to open the floor plan editor.
Confirm you are in the correct floor plan before continuing.
2. Copy the iFrame Embed Code 0:10
In the top toolbar, click the Embed icon.
Select Copy iFrame to copy the embed code to your clipboard.
Keep the copied code ready for pasting into your website.
3. Paste the Embed Code into Your Website 0:27
Navigate to the webpage where the floor plan should appear.
Open the appropriate HTML/text block or code editor area.
Paste the copied iFrame code into the page content.
Verify the embed code is placed in the correct location on the page.
4. Review the Embedded Floor Plan and Publish 0:38
Check that the ExpoGenie floor plan displays correctly after pasting the code.
Adjust the width and height if needed to fit the page layout.
Click Publish to make the embedded floor plan live on the website.
Cautionary Notes
Ensure you paste the code into an HTML-capable block; regular text blocks may display the code instead of rendering the floor plan.
Double-check the page layout before publishing so the embed does not appear too large or too small.
Confirm you are editing the correct website page to avoid publishing the floor plan in the wrong location.
Tips for Efficiency
Copy the iFrame code immediately after selecting Copy iFrame to avoid losing it.
Use a staging or draft page first if you want to test the embed before publishing live.
If the embed looks misaligned, adjust the width and height before publishing to save time later.
